Listen with headphones and you'll see, er hear what I mean. Is there any source for the assertion that this song contains a field recording (of "You'll Never Walk Alone")? It sounds to me like it's not a field recording at all, but a studio re-creation of one. I don't think so Just because Waters learned the tuning from Barrett doesn't mean that Gilmour wouldn't have known it too. Similarly, I think the quote attributed to Waters regarding this open tuning is actually Waters referring to "Free Four". I think the author's reference to "The Amazing Pudding" is wrong as further down the page he has attributed a quote from Gilmour where he is clearly talking about "Dogs", to "Corporal Clegg".
I'm not at all convinced that Waters played the rhythm guitar on this. BotleySmith 16:27, 6 June 2006 (UTC) Info box This isn't necessarily the case, however - maybe Gilmour wrote the bridge music. Roger Waters composed the song on guitar using an open tuning in G major that he learned from Syd Barrett. The song's slow tempo and mellow acoustic sound bear similarities to some of the other tracks on the first side of the album. If Waters wrote the music, does one pressume Gilmour was the lyricist? 11:14, 5 June 2006 (UTC)Ĩ4.65.31.160 Perhaps.
